Savile Row Eyewear is an eye-wear brand produced since 1988 at the Algha Works factory. Algha was established in London in 1898 by Max Wiseman & co.Manufacturing was then moved to East London from Germany in 1932. The equipment and workers were moved to London from a factory in Rathnau, Germany. The Algha factory manufactured rolled-gold metal eyewear frames. The name ‘Algha’ represents the merging of two greek letters, alpha and omega, literally meaning from beginning to end.
